GIA Pacific Pearl Trip

Linda is off to Asia to visit the Pearl Farms!!!!

I am honored to be one of the 24 people that were accepted to join this trip hosted by GIA.  This trip was made possible to me through the Gemological Institute of America’s Alumni Association Travel Program.  I leave on September 4th and will be returning September 19th. 

Ron will take care of all your orders and needs while I am gone. 

I will be traveling to the Pacific Rim, exploring lands where some of the finest Cultured Pearls are grown.  Traveling to the Paradise of Flower Island in the Philippines to explore the Pearl Farming operations of South Sea Cultured Pearls. 

Then off to Japan to visit the Pearling operation on the famous Mikimoto Island.  Also I will be stopping at the Tasaki Shinju and Otsuki Pearl Companies. 

Next off to China to see the Chinese Cultured Pearl farms and factories.  I will also visit the famous Chinese Pearl and Jewelry City.

Ending at Hong Kong for 2 days at the Hong Kong Jewelry and Watch Fair. 

Stay tuned for some hand picked treasures that I will be bringing back from these exotic places.  I will also be bringing back a wealth of knowledge, including pictures of my adventures.
