Cats Eye Rutilated Quartz! Loads of Golden Needles dancing inside this gem. The cat's eye is actually inclusions of rutile that create chatoyancy or the cat's eye effect. The eye follows you as you tilt the gem.

A fun cabochon that has a band of reflected light across the middle, this has always reminded observers of a cat's eye. The cat's eye effect is also called chatoyancy and is caused by parallel needle like inclusions within the gemstone.
